Verb tenses and adverbs of time

In this mini course, you will learn how to effectively use adverbs of time to help you determine the appropriate verb tense to use in your speaking and writing. Mastering the connection between adverbs of time (such as before, after, yet etc.) and verb conjugation is an important grammar skill that will improve your sentence structure and use of tenses. We’ll cover all the common adverbs and demonstrate how they signal the past, present, or future tense of verbs. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to confidently select the right verb tense every time based on the adverbs you choose to modify your sentences. Whether you’re speaking, writing an email, report, or any other form of text, this mini course will equip you with the knowledge to create grammatically flawless, time-based verb usage.
